To choose the most accurate size muzzle and avoid additional shipping costs for exchanges, it is necessary that you measure your dog's snout circumference. Do not relay just on the weight or breed of your dog. Also don't take as a measurement guide any previous items your dog used to wear or measurements from other stores you have made purchases from as each store has its own guidelines for measurements. Compare this measurement to the size specifications listed for each muzzle.
If your measurements fall in between two sizes of the item you wish to purchase and you don't know which one to choose, consider the purpose of the muzzle you buying. A tighter fitting muzzle will assure a secure fit of the item for training dogs and working with them, a looser fit is appropriate for using the item around the house or extended wear. No muzzle is inescapable or indestructible. Kristalas Imports can not guarantee that your dog will not be able to take off its new muzzle but we do offer models that are less removable than others.
